Our preventative maintenance agreements include REAL preventative maintenance. Putting a test weight on your scale and slapping on a sticker will not work at Birmingham-Toledo. As an ISO 9001:2000 and ISO/IEC 17025 quality service provider, we will adhere to the following practices:
- We will provide a periodic check of the operating efficiency of your equipment.
- We will provide recommendation as to further service requirements.
- A visual check of all operating mechanisms will be made;
- all equipment will be tested with certified standards to specified tolerances;
- a multi-point "as found" (ISO facilities) status will be recorded;
- multi-point recalibration will be performed as needed;
- minor adjustments will be made as required;
- a multi-point "as left" (ISO facilities) status will be recorded;
- you will be informed of the equipment used to make these adjustments;
- equipment used will be traceable to a national standard (NIST);
- you will be provided with documentation regarding this traceability;
- the calibration date and due date (ISO) will be noted;
- a calibration label will be affixed;
- you will be notified of all non-conformances;
- all calibration information will be documented, and
- all information will be provided to you in a concise, easy-to-read format.
